1. Internal pressure. This is an important main reason affecting the quality of rubber seals, the level of pressure, different levels of pressure cycle cycle, on the damage of seals is relatively large. The higher the pressure, the greater the factors affecting the seal, due to the driving of other sealing factors such as temperature, speed, seal material, and the gap between the seals, the gap between the piston and the cylinder head.

2. Temperature and friction. It is difficult to describe the high service temperature and low service temperature of the rubber seal material under working conditions, because this is the result of a series of different factors of seal specifications and models. The operating temperature of the piston and the piston rod are different, and their specifications and conditions should be distinguished separately. Secondly, the surface roughness of the seal product, the surface characteristics, pressure, medium, temperature, seal material and type and running speed are all factors affecting the seal.

3. Treatment of the surface of rubber seals. The characteristics of the cylinder piston and piston rod surface have a great influence on the life of the seal. Surface properties are often defined by the value of the surface roughness RA, which is the arithmetic mean of the absolute value of the surface shape deviating from the centerline. However, these values do not fully represent the effect of surface conditions on the seal, because different surface shape characteristics can lead to different degrees of seal wear even at the same roughness.
